About Lessons

20+ years of training (Manhattan School of Music and Aaron Copland School of Music). Credits include Broadway “Les Miserables” and Billboard. Experienced performer, vocalist, guitarist, pianist. Nicola has created a unique yet grounded approach to the art of voice and guitar lessons.

Voice for All Skill Levels

Nicola merges the styles and techniques of genres such as classical, theater, rock, pop, soul, and jazz and focuses on breathing, stamina, posture, placement and confidence exercises, as well as building repertoire.

VOICE STUDENTS WILL:

Increase vocal range and stamina
Build confidence
Learn how to audition
Learn proper breath control
Learn how to properly warm-up the voice
Create awareness of body and posture
Improve pitch, rhythm and musicality
Work on repertoire
Become a well integrated and compelling performer
Work on songwriting and composition if they desire

Guitar for All Skill Levels

Nicola focuses on building right and left hand strength and dexterity with various exercises, while working on building chord vocabulary as well as additional repertoire, and teaching you how to read and notate chords in guitar tablature. All of this is done incorporating styles and techniques of varied genres such as rock, pop, soul and folk.

GUITAR STUDENTS WILL:

Build a great chord vocabulary
Work on melodies and basslines
Learn strumming, finger picking and other right-hand techniques
Build hand and finger strength and dexterity
Improve pitch, rhythm and musicality
Learn how to read and notate guitar tablature
Work on repertoire
Become a well integrated and compelling performer
Work on songwriting and composition if they desire
